Security measures at the homes of Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar have been strengthened following the shooting incident involving Tiger Shroff in Mumbai, with additional precautions being introduced amid concerns over threats to film industry figures.

According to NDTV, bulletproof glass shields at Salman’s Galaxy Apartments residence are being upgraded, while workers are installing similar protection at Akshay’s home. Police personnel have also been deployed outside the actors’ residences.

The developments follow an attack on Tiger’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday, 18 October, when three men allegedly opened fire as the actor was leaving a football ground. The incident prompted a wider security review involving prominent Bollywood personalities.

Investigators are reportedly examining whether Salman was the attackers’ original target. Sources cited by NDTV said the suspects had surveyed the area around his residence but backed away after encountering heavy security. Police have yet to publicly confirm all details of that account.

Three suspects were arrested in Rajasthan’s Kota on Monday in connection with the shooting. They face charges relating to the alleged attack, while the investigation continues to establish the motive and identify anyone else involved.

Salman already has Y-plus security, alongside private protection, following previous threats. The latest measures reflect renewed concern about the safety of prominent actors after the incident involving Tiger.
