Acclaimed actor Chanchal Chowdhury has revealed that he was originally offered a role in the Dev-starrer ‘Khadaan’, but had to step away from the project due to scheduling conflicts.

Chanchal, who works across both Dhaka and Kolkata, recently completed shooting for ‘Shekor’, directed by Bratya Basu in India. Despite collaborating with several prominent figures in the Kolkata film industry, he has not yet shared the screen with Indian actor Dev.

In a recent interview, Chanchal said he had received two separate offers to work with Dev, including the one for Khadaan. However, prior commitments and time constraints prevented him from taking up either project. He admitted feeling some regret over missing the opportunity and suggested that Dev might still hold a slight grievance.

The two actors have met several times at film festivals in Bangladesh and abroad, discussing potential collaborations. Chanchal noted that they remain enthusiastic about working together and that he assured Dev they would eventually share a project.

Looking ahead, Chanchal Chowdhury is set to appear in the upcoming film ‘Bonolota Express’. He will also star in ‘Shasti’, directed by Leesa Gazi, in which he will be seen opposite Pori Moni.
