Mohammad Sayedur Rahman has been reappointed to the post of special assistant at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
A notification, issued on Thursday, stated that while holding the post of special assistant, he will receive the salary, allowances, and ancillary benefits of a state minister.
Earlier on Wednesday morning, in a post on the social media platform Facebook, he had confirmed his resignation.
He had written, “Today is the last day of my service life. My resignation letter, submitted seeking exoneration from special state duty for the purpose of retirement, was accepted yesterday.”
Former Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Health Sciences, Professor Sayedur Rahman, had been serving as special assistant since last November.
