Popular small-screen actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba, who played a role in the web series Buker Modhye Agun, says Salman Shah’s appeal has remained undiminished even three decades after his death.
The series, based on Salman Shah’s life and career, gave Apurba an opportunity to explore the legendary actor’s story and understand him from a different perspective.
Amid renewed legal activity surrounding Salman Shah’s death, Apurba was asked how he viewed the late actor.
Speaking to Kaler Kantho, he said Salman Shah was exceptionally handsome and possessed a presence that could be remembered and carried by generations.
“He was a style icon. Even today, if someone can carry half of his style, people call that person stylish. Salman Shah had that kind of aura,” Apurba said.
According to the actor, Salman Shah’s influence has continued across generations and will remain relevant for years to come.
“That alone shows what a great artist he was,” he added.
Apurba said Salman Shah was more than just a popular film actor.
His distinctive style, personality and screen presence made him a unique star who transcended his era. Even 30 years after his death, his appeal among younger audiences has not faded. Rather, his influence has continued to grow.
