Saif Ali Khan opened up about his sons Taimur and Jeh’s concerns about the ongoing wars around the world during his visit to Uri in Jammu and Kashmir on India’s 80th Independence Day.

As part of NDTV’s Jai Jawan programme, the actor spent time with Indian soldiers and shared a meal with them.

Speaking to the armed forces, Saif revealed that his children have started asking questions about the conflicts they see and hear about.

Saif said his sons are worried about their safety and often ask who is protecting them and what could happen next.

He told them that the Army is protecting the country and said his children are also proud of the soldiers.

The actor also spoke about Kashmir, describing it as one of the most beautiful parts of India while acknowledging that the region remains sensitive and is not completely open to tourism.

Saif said he hoped people from across the country would eventually be able to visit Kashmir more freely and comfortably.

His comments come amid continuing global conflicts and growing concerns about their impact on families and children.

India has also faced heightened security concerns since the Pahalgam terror attack in April 2025, which killed 26 civilians and led to a sharp deterioration in India-Pakistan relations.

Meanwhile, Saif is preparing for the release of Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan.

The film also stars Akshay Kumar and Saiyami Kher and marks Saif and Akshay’s reunion nearly 18 years after Tashan.

Saif plays a visually impaired man in the film, while Akshay takes on the role of the antagonist.

Haiwaan is scheduled to release in theatres on 11 September, 2026.
