Actress Safa Kabir is currently enjoying a holiday in Los Angeles, where she has been exploring some of the city’s most popular tourist destinations, including Hollywood, Santa Monica Pier and Griffith Observatory.
A few days ago, Safa shared photographs from Hollywood on Facebook, prompting many to wonder whether the pictures were recent.
The actress later confirmed that she is currently in Los Angeles.
Safa said visiting Hollywood had been one of her priorities after arriving in the city.
“After coming to Los Angeles, I wanted to visit the best tourist attractions. I prepared for the trip accordingly. Hollywood is one of the most amazing places here, and everyone takes pictures at the Hollywood sign,” she said.
Having heard about Hollywood since childhood, Safa said visiting the iconic location for the first time was a memorable experience.
“I really loved this place. You can also see one of the beautiful views of Los Angeles from here. I enjoyed it a lot,” she said.
Among the other places she has visited, Santa Monica Pier has particularly impressed her.
Located along the Pacific Ocean, the popular tourist destination features Pacific Park, an amusement park and a solar-powered Ferris wheel, among other attractions.
Safa said she was once constantly occupied with shooting and often accepted projects because of requests from others, leaving little time for herself.
She has now decided to make time for travelling every year. After a gap of around a year and a half, she chose several cities in California for her latest trip.
Although shooting often takes her to different places, Safa said work rarely allows her to explore them at her own pace.
That is why she now sometimes turns down work and sets off on her own trips.
“I like seeing new environments, cultures and countries,” she said.
Last year, she travelled to the US hoping to experience snowfall, something she had dreamed about since childhood.
This time, she has focused on exploring tourist attractions during the summer.
Safa said she has always been fascinated by seeing places from the highest possible point.
“Wherever I go, I try to see the place from the top. Seeing the top view of a place has been a habit of mine since childhood,” she said.
She has followed the same routine during her US trip, visiting elevated viewpoints across the cities she explored.
Hollywood was no exception, although she admitted that reaching the viewpoint was difficult.
Apart from high vantage points, Safa enjoys sitting and eating by the sea.
Shopping malls are also an essential part of her travels, as she enjoys shopping and exploring commercial areas when she has time.
The actress is particularly drawn to mountains and the sea. In Bangladesh, Cox’s Bazar and the hill districts remain among her favourite destinations.
Safa travelled to the US last February as well, but the winter weather was much colder than she had expected.
“I had a different experience during winter. I couldn’t travel around as much as I wanted. So this time I chose summer. I was somewhat upset during that trip, but I have really enjoyed coming here in summer,” she said.
She added that she is currently spending wonderful moments with her family and relatives, making this trip a particularly happy experience.
