Popular television actress Sadia Jahan Prova has opened up about people’s tendency to judge others based on assumptions, as well as the pain caused by betrayal from those closest to us.
In a social media post, Prova spoke about the hypocrisy of loved ones, misconceptions and the emotional toll of hurtful comments. At the same time, she urged people to recognise their own worth and remain strong.
Prova wrote that it can be deeply painful when people question someone’s character or label them a “bad person” based on their own assumptions.
According to her, much of what people believe about others is shaped by their imagination, judgement or desire to make themselves feel superior.
She also highlighted how hurtful it can be when people conveniently overlook their own mistakes while considering it their right to spread rumours about others.
“Sometimes, these are the very people you once loved and trusted,” she wrote, adding that they could be friends, family members, colleagues or former partners.
Prova acknowledged that such behaviour from loved ones can leave a person emotionally devastated. Someone may become silent, feel broken or even begin to question their own worth for a while.
However, she urged people not to let others’ opinions define them.
“Remember, someone else’s thoughts or perspective about you can never define your character,” Prova wrote.
She added that it is not a person’s responsibility to carry the burden of someone else’s hypocrisy, misconceptions or unwillingness to acknowledge their own mistakes.
Although Prova did not name anyone or provide details about a specific incident, her message focused on maintaining self-worth and emotional strength despite judgement and negativity from others.
