Model and actress Sabila Nur, who rose to prominence through television dramas before making her mark in commercial films, is set to return to OTT.
She will appear in the comedy flash fiction Faisa Gechi, which will be released on 20 August.
Directed by Mahmudur Rahman Himi, Faisa Gechi follows a rideshare driver and the unusual incidents he encounters.
Although told through humour, the story explores themes such as opportunity, greed and guilt.
Sabila stars alongside Dibyojyoti, Arfan Mridha Shiblu and Corovi Mizan. The project is jointly produced by Alpha-i and Chorki.
Sabila is excited about the new project. “I always try to make sure that one project is different from another. After Bonolota Express and Rockstar, Faisa Gechi has been a completely different experience for me. I really enjoyed working on a comedy. I hope audiences will enjoy it too,” she said.
Sabila began her acting career with television dramas and later established herself in OTT projects and films. She hopes to continue working across all three platforms.
“I came into the industry through television dramas. That is my root. I later worked on several OTT projects, which audiences received warmly. Then I moved into films, where audiences have also accepted me very well,” she said.
According to Sabila, preparing for television, OTT and films requires different approaches.
Film projects require longer preparation, making it difficult to work regularly across all three mediums.
However, she considers herself an actor first and foremost, rather than defining herself by any particular medium.
She therefore hopes to continue acting in television, OTT and films whenever suitable opportunities arise.
