Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain (Kaikobad) has issued a stern warning to the Bangladeshi Hajj management team, urging them to maintain strict discipline and provide dedicated service to pilgrims.

Currently in Saudi Arabia to oversee Hajj operations, the minister attended a special Hajj management meeting at the invitation of Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jeddah, an official release said.

The meeting, attended by ministers and officials from several countries, focused on coordination among Hajj offices, improving services, managing transport, and ensuring compliance with approved regulations. Participants also expressed appreciation for the Saudi leadership’s ongoing enhancements to Hajj arrangements.

Later, Kaikobad attended the opening ceremony of the 50th Grand Hajj Symposium as a special guest, where religious scholars and officials from different countries participated. Bangladeshi Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Md Delwar Hossain and other officials accompanied him.

At night, the minister visited a medical centre in Makkah serving Bangladeshi pilgrims, speaking with doctors, nurses and staff. He stressed the need for the highest standard of healthcare services and warned that negligence would not be tolerated. He said strict action would be taken against officials failing to perform their duties properly or engaging in unrelated activities.

Kaikobad added that the Prime Minister is closely monitoring Hajj arrangements and has instructed officials to ensure maximum service for pilgrims. He also noted that sincere and dedicated personnel would be rewarded.

Earlier, during a briefing at the Bangladesh Hajj Mission office, the minister reiterated that negligence could result in disciplinary action, including withdrawal of travel-related privileges.
