Sofyan Amrabat has joined Real Betis on a loan from Fenerbahçe. Reat Betis have officially announced the move on social media. The 29-year-old Moroccan midfielder will stay with the Spanish club until June 2026, with Betis paying his full salary. The deal does not include an option for a permanent transfer.
Amrabat brings toughness and experience to Betis’ midfield. He gained attention for his tireless work during Morocco’s impressive run to the 2022 World Cup semifinals. At Fiorentina, he played over 100 games and was a key part of their 2023 Europa Conference League final campaign. Last season, he spent a year on loan at Manchester United, starting 10 Premier League matches and appearing 21 times overall, before moving permanently to Fenerbahçe.
In another major move, Real Betis completed the permanent signing of Antony dos Santos from Manchester United. The 25-year-old Brazilian winger shone during a loan at Betis last season, scoring nine goals and assisting six times in 26 games. His performances led Betis to pay €25 million for his transfer, with Manchester United securing 50% of any future sale. Antony signed a contract until 2030 and will wear the No. 7 shirt.
Manchester United’s manager, Rúben Amorim, did not include Antony in his plans, and the player expressed a strong desire to return to Seville. Betis fans, thrilled with his return, celebrated by calling him “Antonio de Triana” during the club’s announcement.
