On Monday evening, September 1, 2025, Jatiya Ganotantrik Party (JAGPA) President Khondokar Lutfor Rahman was seriously injured in an attack by miscreants in the capital’s Paltan area. He was admitted to Kakrail Islamic Bank Hospital. BNP’s Health Affairs Secretary Rafiqul Islam visited him there.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has strongly condemned and protested the terrorist attack on JAGPA President Khondokar Lutfor Rahman.
In a statement, he said, “This kind of brutal attack is part of a deep conspiracy. We believe this attack was carried out as a plot to disrupt the upcoming national election. It is the government’s responsibility to immediately arrest the attackers, bring them to justice, and ensure exemplary punishment.”
“I firmly believe that the unity of all democratic political parties will thwart such anti-democratic conspiracies and establish the democratic aspirations of the people,” he added.
