Abdullah struck a superb century before Shadhin Islam claimed four wickets for the second match running as Bangladesh U23 stormed into the GD Trophy final with a 215-run win over the U17 side in Mirpur.
Batting first after losing the toss, U23 made a commanding 345 for 9 from their 50 overs. Opener Adil gave them a flying start, scoring 40 from 31 balls with three sixes and two fours. Md Azizul Hakim Tamim, the hero of the previous match, fell for five before Kalam Siddiki Aleen departed without scoring, leaving U23 at 61 for 3.
Rizan Hossan and Abdullah then changed the course of the innings. The pair added 156 for the fourth wicket, putting the U17 bowlers under sustained pressure.
Rizan reached his half-century before being dismissed for 76 from 93 balls, with two sixes and five fours. Abdullah remained in control and brought up his century from 91 balls with a boundary. He eventually fell for 101 from 93 deliveries, striking 11 fours and two sixes.
The late overs brought another surge. Ahrah Amin Piyan smashed 54 from 40 balls and stayed unbeaten, while Debashish scored 27 from 18 balls and Mahfuzur Rabbi added a rapid 22 from nine.
U17 needed 346 for victory but struggled from the outset. Noor E Alam and Abdullah Hill Galib managed only nine runs in the opening six overs before Galib was run out.
Noor made 23 from 67 balls before falling to left-arm wrist-spinner Nuhahel Sandeed. Sourav Karmakar then made 20 before Shadhin removed him. Imran Bhuiyan offered some resistance with 29, but the innings soon collapsed.
U17 lost their final five wickets for just 17 runs and were bowled out for 130 in 38.1 overs.
Shadhin finished with four wickets, while Piyan took two. Azizul Hakim Tamim, Sandeed and Rabbi claimed one wicket each.
The victory gave U23 five points from four matches and secured their place in the final. They will face the U19 side, who had already booked their place after collecting six points from four games.
