The West Indies will tour Bangladesh for a two-match Test series in October and November, with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announcing the itinerary on Tuesday.
The series will form part of the 2025-27 ICC World Test Championship cycle. Bangladesh currently occupy fourth place in the WTC standings, while the West Indies are eighth.
The Caribbean side are scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on October 18 before beginning their preparations with a three-day warm-up match against a yet-to-be-announced opponent at the Bashundhara Sports Complex from October 22 to 24. The match will begin at 10am each day.
The first Test will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur from October 28 to November 1, with play scheduled to start at 10am.
The teams will then travel to Sylhet for the second and final Test at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from November 5 to 9, also with a 10am start.
The series will be an important part of Bangladesh’s WTC campaign as the Tigers enter the final stages of the current cycle. They are also scheduled to face South Africa away from home later in the year before completing their WTC campaign with a two-Test home series against England in February 2027.
Bangladesh’s preparations for the West Indies series will begin earlier in October, with Afghanistan confirming on Tuesday that they will host the Tigers for a one-off Test in the UAE from October 9 to 13, followed by an ODI tri-series involving Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.
The West Indies, meanwhile, will arrive in Bangladesh after their white-ball tour of India, which includes three ODIs and five T20Is.
