Md Rashed Khan has been appointed political assistant to the prime minister on a contractual basis with the status of secretary, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday.
The notification states that he must sever all ties with any other profession, business, or government, semi-government or private institution before assuming the post.
Rashed Khan will serve as the Prime Minister’s Political Assistant from the date of joining until the Prime Minister’s tenure ends or until the Prime Minister decides otherwise, whichever comes first.
The notification added that the remaining terms and conditions of his appointment will be specified in the relevant contract.
