Rangpur City Corporation Administrator Mahfuz Un Nabi Chowdhury Don has announced that all sacrificial animal waste will be cleared from the city within eight hours on the day of Eid-ul-Adha.

Residents began animal sacrifices across the city following Eid prayers on Thursday morning. Slaughtering took place in residential courtyards, open streets, and 66 designated points across 33 wards under the City Corporation, alongside officially allocated sites.

Urging residents to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness, the administrator called on people to carry out sacrifices only at designated locations.

A total of 1,069 sanitation workers have been deployed and remain active throughout Eid-ul-Azha to ensure timely waste management across the city.

Residents without adequate space at home have been asked to use designated dustbins of the City Corporation. The administrator reiterated that all sacrificial waste would be removed within the promised eight-hour timeframe.
