RANCON has begun a new chapter in the country’s automotive sector as it became the official distributor of JAC Motors in Bangladesh, according to a press release issued on Saturday.
The announcement followed a launch event held on Friday at the ICCB in Dhaka, where the company introduced JAC’s latest fleet of double-cabin pickups and commercial trucks to industry representatives, dealer partners and the media.
RANCON unveiled two new 4×4 double-cabin pickups — the T9 Hunter and the T8 — alongside 1.5-ton and 3-ton commercial trucks designed for local road conditions. The company said JAC vehicles will now be available with full sales and after-sales support through its nationwide service network.
The T9 Hunter Double Cabin features a 2-litre turbo diesel engine, an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive. It includes an electric sunroof, leather interior, premium sound system, a 10.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android support, 410 Nm torque, 210 mm ground clearance, disc brakes on both axles, 18-inch alloy wheels and power-adjustable front seats. RANCON said it is offering the model at Tk46.5 lakh with a 5-year or 100,000 km warranty.
The T8 Double Cabin 4×4 comes with a 2-litre turbo-diesel engine, a 6-speed manual transmission, 329 Nm torque, 210 mm ground clearance, 18-inch alloy wheels, a leather-trimmed interior, multifunction steering wheel, LED headlights and fog lights and ABS. It is priced at Tk34.5 lakh with a 5-year or 100,000 km warranty.
The 1.5-ton and 3-ton commercial trucks, engineered for Bangladesh’s environment and load patterns, will be backed by the company’s service and parts network across the country.
“RANCON has consistently brought globally renowned brands and advanced technologies to the Bangladeshi market. Continuing that legacy, we are delighted to become the official distributor of JAC Motors. I am confident JAC products will generate strong excitement in Bangladesh’s vehicle market,” said Rancon Group Managing Director Romo Rouf Chowdhury.
“We are excited to introduce reliable, high-quality and affordable 4×4 vehicles to the Bangladeshi automotive sector. RANCON’s nationwide service network will play a key role in ensuring superior customer service and long-term support,” said Rancon Global Trucks Ltd Managing Director Shawn Hakim.
