Qatar has temporarily suspended its visa-on-arrival facility for Pakistani nationals, according to an advisory issued by the Pakistani Embassy in Doha on Tuesday.
The embassy cited the “prevailing situation” in the Middle East as the reason behind the temporary halt in the facility. Under the new directive, Pakistani travellers arriving without a pre-arranged visa may face entry restrictions and potential inconvenience at immigration counters.
“Pakistani nationals intending to travel to Qatar are advised that visa-on-arrival facility is currently not available due to prevailing situation,” the embassy stated. Travellers have been urged to obtain appropriate visas prior to departure to ensure a smooth entry.
Embassy officials emphasised that it is now mandatory to secure a visa before leaving for Qatar. The advisory further recommends that citizens stay updated through official channels and consult with relevant Qatari officials or visa centres before making any travel arrangements.
While the embassy in Doha reiterated its commitment to assisting Pakistanis travelling to Qatar, it urged all travellers to verify all necessary details and requirements before heading to the country.
