Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed has said that a three‑member inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the attack on the Radda MCH‑FP Centre in Mirpur‑1.
The committee will also examine whether any police personnel were involved. It has been given a one‑day deadline to submit the report, he said.
Action will be taken if evidence is found against police officers, he added.
Asked whether any lawmaker or political leaders were behind the incident, he said, “No political identity will be taken into account; the offenders will be brought under the law.”
Four people have already been arrested, and multiple teams are conducting operations to apprehend those named in the case.
The commissioner added that arrests cannot be completed “within half an hour or an hour,” but confirmed four accused are in custody, and instructions have been given to arrest the others.
Efforts are underway to detain those mentioned in the case.
On questions about whether police were present during the attack, he said investigators are examining if there was any negligence.
