Prime Bank PLC has been named “Best Bank for ESG in Bangladesh” at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, securing the recognition for the fourth consecutive year, the bank said in a press release.
The award recognises Prime Bank’s efforts in integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles into its strategy, operations, risk management practices and financing decisions, while strengthening its role in sustainable finance and responsible banking.
Euromoney’s Awards for Excellence is considered an international benchmark in banking and finance, with the ESG award recognising institutions for leadership in sustainable finance, responsible governance, social impact and the integration of ESG considerations into business models.

The bank continues to focus on renewable energy, energy efficiency, environmentally responsible manufacturing and other green and transition-focused projects through its sustainable finance initiatives.
Prime Bank Chief Executive Officer Faisal Rahman said receiving the recognition from Euromoney for the fourth consecutive year was an honour and reflected the bank’s commitment to sustainable finance, strong governance and responsible banking.
“ESG is integral to how we conduct business, manage risk and create enduring value for our stakeholders,” he said.
He added that the achievement belonged to employees, customers, partners and stakeholders whose trust and collective efforts continued to strengthen the bank’s sustainability journey.
