The Premier Bank PLC collected Tk1,678.48 crore in fresh deposits within 38 working days under its “Deposit and Recovery Campaign 2026”, as the lender accelerated efforts to strengthen liquidity and recover defaulted loans.
The bank mobilised the deposits between 1 April and 31 May, while also recovering around Tk665 crore in default loans during the January-May period, the bank said in a press release on Monday.
Of the new deposits, retail deposits accounted for Tk1,087.58 crore, corporate deposits Tk486.46 crore and SME deposits Tk104.44 crore.
Premier Bank Chairman Arifur Rahman said the performance reflected customer confidence in the bank and its services.
“This achievement reflects the trust and confidence of our valued customers,” said Premier Bank Chairman Arifur Rahman.
