The government led by Bangladesh’s 11th Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has launched an official Facebook page to provide updates on its activities and decisions.
The page was inaugurated on Wednesday, the first working day of the new government.
It has been named ‘PMO Bangladesh – Prime Minister’s Office’ and features Tarique Rahman’s photograph as its display picture.
Earlier, on Tuesday, newly elected members of parliament took oath in the morning, followed by the swearing-in of the cabinet in the afternoon.
A gazette issued later that night formally dissolved the interim government.
Meanwhile, at around 10am on Wednesday, a post from the ‘Chief Advisor GOB’ Facebook page announced that all activities on that page would be discontinued from now on.
