Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to visit Dhaka University (DU) on Tuesday for the first time since assuming office after the 13th parliamentary election in February.
He will attend a day‑long workshop titled “Transforming Higher Education in Bangladesh: Roadmap to Sustainable Excellence” as chief guest.
The event, organised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), will be held at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban Auditorium.
Rahman last visited the university on 27 December 2025, when he paid respects at the grave of Sharif Osman Hadi of Inquilab Moncho, located beside the mausoleum of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. That visit came two days after his return to the country on 25 December, ending a 17‑year exile.
