People have begun returning to capital as the Eid-ul-Adha holiday concludes. The movement of Dhaka-bound passengers intensified on Sunday morning.

Return journeys at bus and launch terminals have remained normal, with no overcrowding or transport shortages.

At Sadarghat, passengers arriving from southern districts reported comfortable river journeys, noting that most launches arrived on schedule without any hassles.

The pressure of passengers from Mymensingh, Sherpur, Jamalpur, Kishoreganj, and Gazipur remained steady at bus terminals. There were no long queues at ticket counters, and no complaints regarding extra fares were recorded.

Transport officials believe the extended holiday allowed people to return in phases rather than all at once.

Commuters attributed the comfortable return to empty roads, normal traffic flow, and sufficient transport facilities.

As offices, banks, and most other institutions are scheduled to reopen on Monday, the influx of people returning to the capital is expected to increase further throughout Sunday evening.
