The parliamentary session was adjourned for 40 minutes on Sunday due to a technical issue with the sound system.
Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed announced the adjournment at 5:56pm.
Addressing the House, the speaker explained that his microphone had stopped working again. He stated that the 40-minute break would be divided into two parts: the first 20 minutes for prayers and the remaining 20 minutes to address the microphone issue.
Significant technical difficulties with the sound system were also observed on the opening day of the current session.
At that time, BNP Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy and Jamaat-e-Islami lawmaker Shahjahan Chowdhury expressed their concerns about the ongoing malfunctions.
