Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar will attend the janaza (funeral prayer) of former prime minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
Fasih Ullah Khan, press counsellor at the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka, told TIMES of Bangladesh. Ishaq Dar is scheduled to arrive in the city on Wednesday to attend the funeral proceedings.
Earlier, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Imran Haider, visited the BNP office to offer condolences on the demise of Khaleda Zia.
Khaleda Zia breathed her last on Tuesday at 6am while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
