Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 13 individuals on Wednesday during Phase-2 of Operation Devil Hunt, conducting coordinated raids across Dhaka.
The arrests took place in several areas, including Sutrapur, Khilgaon, Hazaribagh, Badda, Shilpanchal, Sher-e-Bangla, Shahbagh, and Uttara West.
Sutrapur police detained two, Khilgaon three, Hazaribagh one, Badda two, Shilpanchal one, Sher-e-Bangla one, Shahbagh one, and Uttara West two individuals.
The arrested have been identified as Md Zakir Hossain, Md Iqbal, Risad Arif Sojib, Md Jibon, Md Shipon, Salam Hossain Babu alias Barishal Babu, Md Abrar, Rakib, Md Sojib Islam, Shahadat Hossain, Md Afzal Hossain, Md Rajib, and Md Shahin alias Bombal Shahin.
DMP’s Deputy Commissioner of Media and Public Relations, Muhammad Talebur Rahman PPM confirmed in the press release that the detainees have been sent to court for legal proceedings.
DMP sources said the operation aims to maintain law and order, with strict follow-up actions to prevent criminal activities in the city.
