Designed to elevate nursing education to international standards, the initiative will expand advanced research opportunities, produce skilled researchers and specialist nurses, and upgrade NIANER’s infrastructure and technical capacity.

Key components include the establishment of state-of-the-art simulation laboratories and research centres, procurement of essential research and IT equipment, and advanced training programmes for teachers and officials.

Following review, the Planning Commission’s socio-economic infrastructure division recommended the project for ECNEC approval, noting that it is expected to raise professional standards in nursing and accelerate healthcare research in Bangladesh.
