Power supply will be suspended in several areas of Rangpur city from 8am to 5pm on Saturday, for development and maintenance work.
Northern Electricity Supply PLC (NESCO) confirmed this through a notification on Friday.
The notification, signed by Executive Engineer of NESCO’s Sales and Distribution Division-1 Md Moksedul Islam stated that this decision has been made to trim tree branches and perform urgent maintenance work on lines under the jurisdiction of the 11kV Shapla and Abohawa feeders.
As a result, power supply will remain suspended continuously for 9 hours from 8am to 5pm on Saturday in these areas:
Under the Shapla feeder: Chandra intersection, Chartala intersection, Shapla oil pump, Chamra Patti, both sides of the road from Grand Hotel intersection, Press Club alley, from Jahaj Company intersection to Dewan Bari transformer, Shah Amanat Shopping Complex, Agamoni Counter, and areas adjacent to Ideal School among other areas.
Under the Abohawa feeder: Abohawa Office area, Chartala intersection, Beacon intersection, Bou Bazar, Al-Mahmud Mosque, Karanjai Road, Senpara, south road of Ershad’s house, Mulatola Hok’s alley, and areas adjacent to Ratan Sporting Club in the city.
