The government has reshuffled the superintendents of police (SPs) in five districts—Panchagarh, Moulvibazar, Noakhali, Jhenaidah, and Feni.
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification on Thursday announcing the changes, which also included the posting of eight other police officials to various units across the country.
According to the notification, DMP Deputy Commissioner Md Abu Sayeem has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of Panchagarh, while outgoing SP Md Mizanur Rahman has been attached to Police Headquarters. DMP Deputy Commissioner Md Monirul Islam has been posted as SP of Moulvibazar, replacing Md Riazul Islam, who has also been transferred to Police Headquarters.
DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) NM Nasiruddin has been appointed SP of Noakhali, while outgoing SP TM Mosharraf Hossain has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Deputy Commissioner (Prosecution) Mia Mohammad Ashis Bin Hassan has been posted as SP of Jhenaidah, replacing Md Mahfuz Afzal, who has been moved to the Armed Police Battalion (APBn).
Special SP Pratyush Kumar Majumdar has been appointed SP of Feni, while CMC Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mahbub Alam Khan has been attached to Police Headquarters.
Police Superintendent Rajib Farhan of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) and Tourist Police Superintendent Nihad Adnan Taiyan have been posted to the Rangpur Range DIG’s office.
Officials said the reshuffle is aimed at strengthening field-level policing and improving administrative efficiency across the country.
