The National Citizen Party (NCP) has formed a ‘Local Government Election Steering Committee’ to expedite electoral activities in view of the upcoming local government elections.
Formation of this committee was announced through a press release sent on Monday.
The release stated that the steering committee has been formed under the direction of NCP Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhter Hossen.
This announcement named NCP’s Northern Region Organizer Sarjis Alam as Chairman of the committee and Abdul Hannan Masud as Member Secretary.
Other members are Ariful Islam Adib, Alauddin Mohammad, Tahsin Riaz, and Manjila Juma.
The release further mentioned that leaders of the party’s central committee, all divisional organizational secretaries, and district-level leaders will provide full cooperation to this special committee.
