A delegation from the National Citizen Party (NCP) paid a courtesy visit to newly appointed German Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Rüdiger Lotz at the German Embassy located on Pragati Sarani in the capital on Thursday.
The meeting was held at the invitation of the Ambassador, where the NCP delegation received a warm welcome.
On behalf of the party, Sultan Muhammad Zakaria, joint convener and head of the international cell, extended greetings and welcomed the Ambassador to Bangladesh, says a press release.
Joint Convener Nusrat Tabassum, Joint Member Secretary Alauddin Mohammad, Tahsin Riaz, Saif Mostafiz, and Joint Chief Coordinator Navid Nowroz Shah, were also present at the meeting.
During the discussion, the Ambassador inquired about the context of the July mass uprising, progress of reform initiatives, the upcoming elections, and the NCP’s vision for a new Bangladesh.
NCP leaders presented a comprehensive overview of their 24-point manifesto outlining their vision for a new Bangladesh.
Both parties expressed a mutual commitment to strengthening the longstanding business and political relations between Germany and Bangladesh.
Additionally, the NCP delegation requested facilitation measures to simplify the visa application process for Bangladeshi students aspiring to pursue education in Germany.
