The National Citizen Party (NCP) has condemned and protested the repeated irregularities including question paper leaks in the primary teacher recruitment examination.
The party also expressed deep concern over the recurring malpractice, noting a similar incident had previously taken place the “Office Assistant” recruitment test under the Directorate of Primary Education.
In a statement released on Monday by Foysal Mahmud Shanto, joint member secretary of NCP, the party describes such actions as a cruel blow to the dreams and integrity of our society’s young and promising candidates.
NCP recalled July mass uprising which began as a protest against employment system corruption. But the interim government has completely failed to deliver promised transparent reforms, instead prioritising tender, recruitment, and transfer business, it said.
The party also demanded an investigation and called for withholding the exam results until its completion. If allegations are found true, the examination must be cancelled and held again and individuals and institutions involved in the question paper leak must be punished, it added.
The statement concluded with a warning, declaring that the party would stand in solidarity with job seekers if the authorities displayed negligence. If any form of negligence or disregard is observed by the ministry or directorate even after the allegations are proven true, then they will join the movement on the field alongside the job examinees to achieve their just demands.
