The National Citizen Party (NCP) has announced nationwide protests for Wednesday following an attack on the motorcade of its central leaders during a march in Habiganj.
The decision was announced on Tuesday through an emergency organizational directive issued by the NCP’s central convener committee.
The party expressed strong condemnation, describing the incident as a “terrorist attack” carried out by BNP activists against the motorcade of NCP Chief Organizer Sarjis Alam and Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari.
According to the directive, protest and demonstration programmes will be held on July 29 across all metropolitan areas, districts, upazilas and thana-level organisational units.
The party leadership has instructed its organisational units to make the necessary preparations to ensure the programmes are carried out successfully and in an orderly manner.
The directive also urged party activists to be present at the designated protest venues on time.
