The National Consensus Commission (NCC) has held a meeting to finalise the “July National Charter, 2025” and consider methods for its implementation. The meeting took place in the conference room of the Commission’s office located at the National Parliament Building on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the advice and recommendations received from political parties regarding the finalisation and implementation of the charter were reviewed, according to a press release. Several parties also submitted their opinions on the matter. It was also decided to hold consultations with experts, taking their opinions into consideration.
Present at the meeting were the Commission’s Vice-Chairperson Professor Ali Riaz, members Dr Badiul Alam Majumdar, Justice Md Emdadul Haque, Safar Raj Hossain, and Dr Md Ayub Mia, as well as the Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Monir Haider.
As part of the finalisation process, the NCC has sought opinions from 28 political parties regarding the methods and procedures for implementing the charter. So far, 26 have provided their feedback to the July Charter draft.
