The Central Intelligence Cell (CIC) of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) seized a bank locker registered under the name of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during an operation on Wednesday.
The raid took place at the Motijheel branch of Pubali Bank, located in the Sena Kalyan Bhaban, confirmed a senior official from the NBR. According to the official, the locker in question, identified as number 128, was registered under Sheikh Hasina’s name.
While one key to the locker was recovered during the operation, the second key remains in her possession, the official added. The CIC has not yet revealed the contents of the locker or the reasons behind the seizure.
The operation is part of an ongoing investigation, though further details have not been disclosed at this time.
