The BNP has formed an Election Steering Committee for the 13th parliamentary polls, appointing the party’s Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan as chairman and Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi as member secretary.
According to a press release, issued Thursday night and signed by Rizvi, the BNP Election Steering Committee has been tasked with overseeing the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.
Standing Committee Member Selima Rahman and Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu have been appointed as vice-chairmen of the committee, while Chairperson’s Advisory Council Member Md Ismail Zabihullah has been given the responsibility of chief coordinator.
Members of the committee include Advocate Moazzem Hossain Alal, Bijon Kanti Sarkar, Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel, Dr Ziauddin Haider, Dr Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel, Dr Mahdi Amin, Saleh Shibly, AKM Wahiduzzaman, Dr Saimum Parvez, Rehan Asad, Jubayer Babu, Major General (retd) Fazle Elahi Akbar, Abdul Qaiyum, Barrister Giasuddin Rimon, Humayun Kabir, ABM Abdus Sattar, Dr Mohammad Zakaria, Mostakur Rahman, Advocate Belayet Hossain Mridha, Mehedul Islam, Dr Farhad Halim Donar, Professor Dr Morshed Hasan Khan, Advocate Kamrul Islam Sajal, Professor Dr Harun Ar Rashid, Engineer Shoaib Bashari Hablu, Dr Kamruzzaman Kaiser, Ishtiaq Aziz Ulfat, Abdul Monayem Munna, Afroza Abbas, Monir Khan, Anam Khalilur Rahman Ibrahim, Yasin Ali, Abul Kalam Azad, Maulana Kazi Md Selim Reza, Rakibul Islam Rakib, and Anwar Hossain.
The BNP has requested all concerned to extend full cooperation in carrying out the responsibilities of this committee.
