Mymensingh City Corporation swept both the boys’ and girls’ categories to emerge champions at the Victory Day Kabaddi Tournament held at the Circuit House ground in Mymensingh. The event was organised to mark the Victory Day celebrations and formed part of the youth-oriented festival led by the District Sports Office and the Government Physical Education College.
In the girls’ competition, four teams participated: Mymensingh City Corporation, Mymensingh District Administration, Patgudam High School and Mymensingh Kabaddi Academy. The final was contested between the City Corporation and the District Administration, with the City Corporation winning by 33–20.
The boys’ final also saw Mymensingh City Corporation take the title, defeating the District Administration by 27–13.
Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner Miz Farha Shammi distributed the prizes after the finals, while Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner Md Saifur Rahman presided over the programme.
Special guests included Superintendent of Police Md Mizanur Rahman, City Corporation Secretary Sumona Al Majid, Principal of the Government Physical Education College Md Mahtab Uddin, District Sports Officer Al Amin and officials from the Mymensingh Kabaddi Academy.
