Mustafizur Rahman has earned a place in Wisden’s Men’s T20 Team of the Year for 2025 after a strong season in both international and franchise cricket.
The Bangladesh left arm pacer enjoyed one of his best years with the ball. Wisden picked its XI by judging performances in national team matches and T20 leagues. Mustafizur’s numbers and impact helped him make the list.
He played 43 T20 matches in 2025. He took 59 wickets at an economy rate of 6.78. Mustafizur also delivered for Bangladesh. He played 20 matches for the national team and took 26 wickets. He kept the economy rate at 6.09.
He also played franchise cricket in different leagues. He represented Dhaka Capitals, Rangpur Riders, Delhi Capitals, and Dubai Capitals. He started the year in the BPL with Dhaka. He took 13 wickets in 12 matches. Later, he played in the IPL for Delhi Capitals and picked up four wickets.
Mustafizur ended the year on a high in the ILT20. He played eight matches for Dubai Capitals and took 15 wickets. He finished as one of their best bowlers in the tournament.
Mustafizur also topped the bowling average list among bowlers who bowled at least 150 overs in the year. His average was 18.03.
