Mrunal Thakur has addressed rumours linking her to Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal, dismissing speculation about their alleged relationship, writes Hindustan Times.
The rumours began after the 34-year-old actor and 24-year-old cricketer were reportedly spotted leaving the same cafe in Mumbai’s Bandra West.
A video of the two exiting the venue separately soon circulated on social media, prompting speculation about a possible romance.
Mrunal responded to one of the viral posts, questioning why people were treating the rumours as fact.
“Bro relax… show me where are we together? How can educated people like you take these rumours to be true?” she wrote.
She further urged people to focus on more relevant issues, adding, “Desh mein kya kuch nahi ho raha hain. Gen Z se kuch sikhiye aur sahi muddon par videos baniye aur jyaada views mileenge.”
Although her comment is reportedly no longer visible on the post, a screenshot of her response has continued to circulate online.
This is not the first time Mrunal has been at the centre of dating rumours. In 2025, she was linked to actor Dhanush after he attended the premiere of Son of Sardaar 2 and warmly greeted her.
Their interaction sparked speculation that the two were dating, with some reports even claiming they could get married in 2026.
However, neither actor confirmed the rumours. People close to Mrunal also dismissed the reports.
Mrunal began her career on television with shows including Mujhse Kuchh Kehti Yeh Khamoshiyaan and Kumkum Bhagya.
She made her Hindi film debut with Love Sonia in 2018 before appearing in films such as Super 30 and Batla House.
She later found significant success in Telugu cinema with Sita Ramam and Hi Nanna. Her recent projects include Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, alongside Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde.
Mrunal currently has Pooja Meri Jaan and the Telugu film Raaka in her upcoming lineup.
