‘Obishwasher Deshe’, featuring lyrics and composition by architect and lyricist Enamul Karim Nirjhar, has been released on the YouTube Channel Gaanshala EKNC . The song is composed and sung by child artiste Mrinmoyee Megha, marking her third original release.
The track is part of the Ek Nirjharer Gaan project and the accompanying music video has been directed by Mujahid Mijab, with Megha appearing as the central performer.
Through evocative imagery and reflective verse, Obishwasher Deshe explores themes of uncertainty, conscience and quiet resistance. The song blends poetic observation with a child’s voice, offering a perspective that is both gentle and unsettling.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Enamul Karim Nirjhar said that the current times make it difficult to know who is listening to whom. He noted that while children often understand the injustices and irregularities created by adults, they are rarely able to speak out.
“If children sing about us, perhaps it might reach more ears,” he said, adding that the song is part of an ongoing effort to encourage reflection, even if change feels distant.
Mrinmoyee shared her enthusiasm for the project, saying this is her second collaboration with Nirjhar for lyrics and tune, and with Autumnal Moon on music.
“I really enjoyed singing this song,” she said. “The video is also very beautiful. Please pray for me so that I can sing more beautiful songs in the future.”
Megha, currently a fourth-grade student, released her first original song ‘Bhuter Raja Dilo Bor’ in 2024, followed by ‘Hau Mau Khau’ in 2025.
