A 40-year-old motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a bus under the Rayerbagh foot-overbridge in the capital’s Jatrabari area on Monday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Amirul Islam (40), son of Md Yousuf Ali.
Hailing from Charpara village under Tangail Sadar Upazila, he was currently residing in the Faridabad area of Shyampur, Dhaka.
According to sources, the accident occurred at around 1:30pm on Monday when a bus operated by Hanif Paribahan struck Amirul’s motorcycle while he was riding under the Rayerbagh foot-overbridge.
The impact threw him off the vehicle, leaving him critically injured.
