Bangladesh Football League saw another busy day with four matches. The results shifted the table once again and opened new pressure on several big teams. Arambagh stayed at the bottom with only one point after another defeat.
Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society earned one of the strongest wins of the day. They beat Arambagh Krira Sangha by 3–0. The win pushed Rahmatganj to second place with 10 points. They moved past Fortis FC, who slipped to third after failing to win their match.
Dhaka Abahani continued to struggle. They could not score against Fortis FC at the Bashundhara Kings Arena. Fortis created more chances but also failed to finish. The match ended goalless. Abahani now sit in seventh place with five points. Fakirerpul Young Men’s Club and PWD SC also have the same number of points.
The bottom part of the table is tight. The Premier League relegates the last two teams. Abahani, Fakirerpul, and PWD all remain inside that danger zone for now. If teams finish level on points, the league holds a playoff to decide who stays up.
Earlier in the day, Dhaka Mohammedan showed signs of relief. They won 4–0 against PWD at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla. Their Ghanaian striker Samuel Boateng scored a hat-trick. PWD earned a late penalty but could not score. The win lifted Mohammedan to fourth place. They now sit above Brothers Union on goal difference.
Mohammedan’s victory came at a time when the club is facing heavy financial trouble. Their players and coaching staff have not received salaries. The crisis affected their earlier form and led to a shock defeat against Fakirerpul. Today’s win, however, brought much-needed confidence.
Police FC and Fakirerpul played the other match of the day. Fakirerpul had beaten Mohammedan in the last round. This time they drew 1–1 with Police and shared the points.
Bashundhara Kings remained at the top with 13 points. Their lead over the chasing teams stayed safe after Fortis dropped points against Abahani.
