Mohammad Samir Uddin, CFA has joined Midland Bank Asset Management Company Limited (MDBAMC) as Chief Executive Officer. MDBAMC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Midland Bank PLC.
Samir Uddin brings over 14 years of professional experience in the Bangladesh capital market and banking sector, with extensive knowledge of the securities market.
He previously served as CEO of MBL Asset Management Limited, where he played a key role in establishing the company. Before that, he was CEO of Shahjalal Asset Management Limited.
He also worked as a Fund Manager at VIPB Asset Management Company Ltd. He began his banking career as a Management Trainee Officer at Export Import Bank of Bangladesh Limited, where he progressed to the position of Principal Officer.
Additionally, he served as a Management Trainee Officer at the Industrial and Infrastructure Development Finance Company Limited (IIDFC). His professional journey started in 2011 as a Trainee Officer at HAC Securities Limited.
Samir Uddin is a CFA charter holder and an active member of CFA Society Bangladesh. He completed his BBA and MBA in Finance from the Faculty of Business Studies at the University of Dhaka.
