Modhumoti Bank PLC said in a press release that the financing programme would play an important role in developing an agriculture-based economic hub in northern Bangladesh by expanding access to affordable credit for customers in the region.
The signing ceremony was attended by Arief Hossain Khan, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, along with Arab Fazlur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Business Officer of Modhumoti Bank PLC, and Zahid Al Muntasir, Head of CMSME Business Support at the bank.
The refinance scheme is expected to support agricultural activities and related economic development in the northern region by providing financing support through participating banks.
