D3 Trophy T20 to begin on December 15

Bangladesh’s domestic cricket will welcome a new T20 competition on December 15 when the D3 Trophy begins with a match between ACME and Fortune at the Kabi Jibanananda Das Stadium in Barishal.

The organisers have released the full schedule of the tournament, which will feature six teams and continue until December 31.

The participating teams are ACME, Fortune, Walton, Seven Rings Cement, Citizens Bank and Blue Star.

Two venues will host the competition. The Kabi Jibanananda Das Stadium in Barishal and the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur will stage the league matches.

The league stage will feature 15 matches, with each team facing the other five teams once.

The tournament will then move into the playoffs on December 27. Barishal will host all four playoff matches, including the final.

The third and fourth placed teams will meet in the Eliminator on December 27 at 11:00 AM. The top two teams will face each other in the first Qualifier later that day at 3:30 PM.

The winner of the first Qualifier will advance directly to the final. The losing team will get another chance in the second Qualifier against the winner of the Eliminator.

The second Qualifier will take place on December 29, while the final is scheduled for December 31. The organisers have also kept January 1, 2027, as the reserve day for the final.
