Milestone College has organized its month-long annual sports competition, a key component of its co-curricular activities. The event is held in a joyful atmosphere at the close of the academic year.
This year’s competition commenced on 23 November, inaugurated by the college’s Vice Principal, Professor Zahirul Huq.
The event’s overall direction is being provided by the Founder and advisor of Milestone College, Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd), alongside Principal Mohammad Ziaul Alam and Vice Principal (Administration) Md Masud Alam.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in a total of 17 events, including various track and field events. All competitions will be held on the spacious grounds of the Milestone College permanent campus in Diabari, Uttara. A concluding prize distribution ceremony was organized to award the winners of the various events, the institution said in the press release.
Regarding the arrangement of the sports competition, the in-charges of the Physical Education and Sports Department, lecturer Shipra Biswas and lecturer Md Nasirul Islam, noted that Milestone College does not limit students only to the curriculum but helps them to become well-educated, developed and skilled overall. They said that the college’s prevalent co-curricular activities play an important role in the physical, mental and social development of students.
