A mild cold wave is sweeping across seven districts of the country. The weather office has forecast more cold waves later this month.
The seven districts are Pabna, Sirajganj, Jashore, Kushtia, Cumilla, Moulvibazar, and Sylhet. The intense feeling of cold may continue across the country for several more days, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
Dense fog and chilly winds have brought daily life to a standstill. For the homeless and low‑income families, the cold feels relentless, turning survival into their toughest battle of the season.
For several days, the capital and many other parts of the country have been blanketed in thick fog. Despite the biting cold, working people are compelled to go out on the streets in search of livelihood.
The BMD said that in the coming days, moderate to dense fog may occur nationwide from midnight to morning, and in some places it may persist until noon. Due to the heavy fog, air travel, inland waterways, and road transport may face temporary disruption.
