Midland Bank PLC has partnered with North South University (NSU) to organize a seminar on Financial Literacy on 23 September 2025 at the Syndicate Hall of NSU.
The seminar was chaired by Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of NSU, with a welcome address by Professor Dr. Abdur Rob Khan, Treasurer & Pro Vice-Chancellor (IC).
Rup Ratan Pine, executive director of Bangladesh Bank, was the chief guest while Md Ahsan-uz Zaman, managing director and CEO of Midland Bank, attended as the special guest. The session was moderated by Dr Md Taufiqul Islam, director of NSU’s Career and Placement Centre.
The event was attended by faculty members and NSU students, with officials from both Midland Bank and NSU present.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness about financial literacy, focusing on financial inclusiveness, sustainable development, and informed decision-making. Midland Bank also set up a booth at NSU campus from 22-24 September 2025 to educate students and staff about banking products and services.
