Midland Bank organised a leadership development workshop for its female employees to strengthen professional skills and leadership capabilities, the bank said in a press release.
Titled “Leadership for Women at Work”, the programme was held at the bank’s training institute with participation from 41 female officials from different branches and divisions.
The bank’s Head of Human Resources Zubayed Ur Rahman inaugurated the workshop.
Sessions were conducted by Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management Professor Mohammad Tazul Islam, Janata Bank Senior Principal Officer Md Mozaharul Islam and Midland Bank Head of Treasury Division Shushanta Shekhar Dev.
They shared insights on leadership, decision-making, professional development and the role of women in the workplace.
Speakers said women are playing an increasingly important role in modern banking as drivers of leadership, innovation and strategic decision-making.
They said equal participation of men and women is essential to building a sustainable and inclusive institution.
Midland Bank said it will continue to support the advancement of female employees through training, mentorship and leadership development initiatives.
