MetLife Bangladesh paid more than Tk669 crore in insurance claims during the first quarter of 2026, the highest amount settled by any life insurance company in Bangladesh during the January-March period, the company said in a press release.

The performance reinforces MetLife Bangladesh’s position as the country’s largest life insurer by claims settlement, according to the company. The claims payments covered a range of customer needs, including medical emergencies, death benefits and policy maturity payments.
